I am a skier.
Apr 14th, 2012 |

My name is Brendon Gesior. I live in Downers Grove, Illinois, which is a suburb of Chicago. While I live nowhere near mountains of any sort, I still managed to get a little over 50 days of skiing in this season. I ski mostly at a 200ft tall bump in the ground called Four Lakes. It is only 15 minutes from my house which allowed me to spend most of my winter lapping the park with my buddies. I love Four Lakes mainly because of the rope tows. I can hot lap for half an hour and get up to 30 runs in. The park has traditionally been pretty sketchy, but this year the head of park crew, Max, built some awesome new features that got absolutely slayed by the growing number of skiers at the hill. Unfortunately the new sharp rails absolutely destroyed our skis edges. I am proud to say that I was the only one who did not have to pull edge out of my ski once this year. I ride afterbangs and they really hold up on the rails. Aside from skiing at Four Lakes, or the "quad" as we call it, I tried to go on as many trips with my friends as possible to other hills in the area. This season we were able to go to Tyrol Basin three times(twice in November), Chestnut, Raging Buffalo, and Indian Head. There is nothing I love better than spending the weekend with my friends driving to a hill, talking newschoolers the entire way up.

As I get older and better at skiing, I realize that the harder you ski the shorter your gear tends to last, duh. I have ridden two pairs of afterbangs this year, and broken countless breaks and poles. The reason that I use Line products is that I know that they will give me the best bang for my buck. I back this statement almost every time that I ski with my friends. Apparently they listened because I would say Line now has a Monopoly on Four Lakes park skiers. It is this because of this reason that I believe I would be a good Mountain Controller. With my skiing and my advice, I bet I could get anyone in the Midwest to buy Line Skis.
